Background

Experience

Commercial Communications was formed in 1978 to service and sell mobile radios and base stations. In time, branches were opened in Huntsville, Conroe, and Houston. CCS serviced radios for professional and government entities in a 7-county area, with occasional forays to Louisiana and the Gulf of Mexico. It has serviced base stations and antennae on towers up to 1500 feet tall. It has owned and operated multiple mobile telephone channels. It was affiliated with RCA, GE, Motorola, and E.F. Johnson.

In 1992, CCS began sales and service of computer and associated equipment, with the main focus on multi-user systems (at the time, MP/M). Support and installation of Unix operating environments became the primary company focus. Support for networks was added as Arcnet and ethernet became more popular. Integration with the public switched telephone network begun soon after deregulation. Installation and maintenance of data links, wired and wireless, begun as demand grew.
