John Squyres is the founder and Director of Hallelujah Ministries, whose aim is to make disciples and prepare them for ministry. HM has been doing just that for the last twenty-one years. To advance this aim has resulted in a Bible College in Conroe, Texas. John has also taken his ministry across state lines and into Mexico and Guatemala, building church buildings and parsonages, and also preaching and teaching. Aided by his wife Mary, he has held many evangelistic campaigns, both in churches and on the street, at home and abroad. He has been used extensively in teaching pastors in Mexico. He recently retired as pastor of a church and devotes his time writing and preaching. John has been in the ministry for 52 years. He is licensed and ordained by the Southern Baptist Convention, but in the last few years has move into a broader spectrum of affiliation, being pastor of four non-denominational churches. He resigned his last pastorate in December 2006. Since then he has devoted his time to writing. He is the author of four books and is working on another one at the present time. He writes a monthly devotional that reaches not only into the States, but into several foreign countries as well. John earned his Bachelor of Theology from American Bible College and a Bachelor of Arts from Indiana Christian University. He did his postgraduate work at Prairie View A&M University, and was awarded a teaching certificate from the State of Texas. He taught for five years at New Caney High School. He worked extensively in Mexico and Guatemala building churches and teaching. |
